Who We Are
This Privacy Policy describes how the Natugreens website (natugreens.com) handles visitor information. For the purposes of this policy, the party responsible for the site, or data controller, is identified as “Natugreens.” Full identification of the responsible entity will be added in a future update to this policy.
For any matter related to privacy and data protection, please contact us by email at [email protected].
What Data We Collect
Natugreens is a freely accessible content portal. The site offers no user registration, visitor login, newsletter, or contact form. The Contact page lists only an email address, and any message sent to that address is processed solely in order to reply to it.
Even without registration, some information is collected automatically during a visit:
- Advertising cookies: Google AdSense displays third-party ads on the site and may use cookies, including for personalized advertising, in accordance with Google’s own policies.
- Browsing data: Google Analytics 4, enabled on the site through Google Site Kit, collects information about visitors’ browsing and behavior, such as the pages visited and how they interact with them, and uses its own cookies to do so.
- Server logs: as with virtually any website, the server records technical data for each visit, which may include IP address, browser type, requested page, date, and time. The server is set to the America/Sao_Paulo (Brazil) time zone, and the recorded times follow that time zone.
- Technical cookies: a cookie from Polylang, the WordPress plugin used to manage the site’s languages, stores the language chosen by the visitor, and Cloudflare cookies are used for security purposes, such as protection against bots.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the visitor’s browser to remember information from one page to the next or from one visit to the next. Some are essential for the site to work, while others are used to measure audience or display advertising.
The types of cookies used on Natugreens are as follows:
- Advertising: Google AdSense cookies, used to display ads, which may be personalized in accordance with Google’s policies.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 cookies, used to measure audience and understand how the site is used.
- Technical or strictly necessary: the Polylang cookie, which remembers the chosen language, and Cloudflare’s security cookies.
In the interest of transparency, we would like to point out that the site does not yet have a cookie consent banner in place. This means that, for now, analytics and advertising cookies do not depend on a prior choice made on the site itself. Until a consent mechanism is implemented, visitors can block, limit, or delete cookies in their browser settings. Blocking technical cookies may cause some features, such as remembering the chosen language, to stop working properly.
Purpose and Legal Basis
Each type of data is used for a specific purpose:
- Advertising: Google AdSense cookies make it possible to show ads, which help keep the site free for readers.
- Audience measurement: Google Analytics 4 data show which content is read and how the site is used, which guides improvements.
- Technical operation of the site: server logs and technical cookies make it possible to deliver pages, remember the chosen language, and protect the site against abusive access and bots.
For server logs and technical cookies, the legal basis is the legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure. For analytics and advertising cookies, the legal basis depends on the law of the visitor’s country, and in several jurisdictions, such as the European Union, it is consent. As explained in the Cookies section, the site does not yet have a mechanism for recording that consent, and visitors can refuse these cookies through their browser settings and Google’s ad preferences.
Sharing with Third Parties
Natugreens does not sell personal data. Some data is processed by service providers that the site needs in order to operate:
- Cloudflare: provides CDN services, which speed up page delivery, and security services, receiving technical access data for these functions.
- Google: receives data through Google Analytics 4, for audience measurement, and through Google AdSense, for displaying ads. Google’s processing follows its own rules, and we recommend that visitors consult Google’s privacy policy for more details, including how to adjust their ad preferences.
Your Rights
Under the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law, Law No. 13,709/2018) and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation, European Union), data subjects have, among others, the following rights regarding their personal data:
- Access to the data being processed.
- Confirmation that processing is taking place.
- Correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data.
- Deletion of data, in the cases provided for by law.
- Objection to processing, in the cases provided for by law.
- Portability of data.
- Withdrawal of consent, where processing is based on it.
Users in Japan also have rights under the APPI (Act on the Protection of Personal Information).
To exercise any of these rights, simply send an email to [email protected] describing your request. Because the site does not keep user accounts, most browsing data is processed directly by Google and Cloudflare, and some requests may also need to be made to those services. Data subjects may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in their country.
International Data Transfers
Natugreens is visited by people in many countries and uses services from companies that operate globally, such as Google and Cloudflare. As a result, browsing data may be processed on servers located outside the visitor’s country, including outside Brazil. The safeguards applied to these transfers are set by those providers and described in their respective privacy policies.
Data Retention
Server logs and analytics data are kept only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, such as site security and audience measurement. Data processed by Google and Cloudflare is also subject to the retention periods set by those services.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the site, to the services used, or to the law. The revision date shown on this page corresponds to the most recent version, and we recommend checking it periodically.
Official Language
This policy was originally written in Portuguese. Versions in other languages are translations provided for information purposes only and, in the event of any discrepancy between them, the Portuguese version prevails.
